The Status of Women

kababaihan ngayo'y pinagwawalangbahala
sa dami ng inaabuso'y karamihan ay walang atensyong nakukuha
binabastos at walang respetong binibigay,
sabihin mo nga, yan ba sakanila ay nababagay?

There were days that women were belittled and not trusted. the times when they were thought of merely house people, no one believed in them. they did't have the freedom to speak of their opinions. most were abused, harassed and forced to something they didn't want to. People back then believed that men were strong and powerful, unlike women, men had the freedom. they were highly praised to what they did when women were belittled for doing merely nothing.
But of course that was the past. Now women had more freedom. they were able to work for their families without hesitations and the social expectation. They were able to stand up for themselves and be leaders of their own. But it hasn't put to a stop completely.

There are still cases of women being abused in every kind of ways. there were still women crying at night for the mistreatment they get. Sometimes even including their children.

Violence against women and their children refers to any act or a series of acts committed by any person against a woman who is his wife, former wife, or against a woman with whom the person has or had a sexual or dating relationship, or with whom he has a common child, or against her child whether legitimate or illegitimate, within or without the family abode, which result in or is likely to result in physical, sexual, psychological harm or suffering, or economic abuse including threats of such acts, battery, assault, coercion, harassment or arbitrary deprivation of liberty

Let us stop this wrong act. Women don't deserve this.
